Product Detail

Non-Asbestos Jointing Sheets – Compressed Fibre Sheet for Water, Steam & Pipeline Flange Sealing | Model KNXB200

Kaxite's Non-Asbestos Jointing Sheets are produced from selected non-asbestos heat-resisting fibre, heat-resisting filler and a special rubber compound, formed under heat and compression into a dense, uniform sheet. The result is a safe, asbestos-free replacement for traditional asbestos rubber sheet — suitable for sealing water, steam, gas and general industrial pipeline flanges. Model KNXB200 is the standard grade for 200°C service; higher grades KNXB300, KNXB350 and the KNNY oil-resistant series are available in the same sheet size range.

Why Choose Non-Asbestos Jointing Sheet

Asbestos-free Safe to handle, cut and install. No health risk associated with asbestos fibre exposure.
Stable under heat Withstands continuous 200°C service for KNXB200; KNXB300 and KNXB350 cover higher temperature ranges.
Good compressibility Compressibility 12 ± 7% ensures the sheet conforms to flange surface irregularities and seals reliably at low bolt load.
Easy fabrication Can be cut, punched or die-cut into gaskets on site with standard workshop tools.

Typical Applications

  • Water and steam pipeline flange joints
  • Pumps, valves and heat exchangers handling water, steam and inert media
  • General industrial equipment sealing where asbestos is not permitted
  • Oil-resistant grade (KNNY series) for petroleum-based oils and aviation fuels
  • Replacement of corresponding asbestos rubber sheet models in existing installations

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is a non-asbestos jointing sheet?
A non-asbestos jointing sheet is a compressed fibre sheet made from non-asbestos heat-resisting fibre, filler and rubber compound. It is used as a sealing material in flange joints and replaces traditional asbestos rubber sheet, without the health risks of asbestos.
Q2: What temperature and pressure can it withstand?
Model KNXB200 handles working pressure up to 1.5 MPa and working temperature up to 200°C. Higher grades KNXB300 and KNXB350 cover higher temperature ranges — contact us for details based on your service conditions.
Q3: What sheet sizes and thicknesses are available?
Standard sizes include 4100×1500 mm, 2000×1500 mm, 1500×1360 mm, 3810×1270 mm, 1270×1270 mm and 1500×1500 mm, with thickness from 0.5 mm to 6.0 mm. Other sizes are available on request or to customer drawings.
Q4: What is the difference between KNXB and KNNY grades?
KNXB grades are general-purpose sheets for water, steam and inert media. KNNY grades are oil-resistant sheets suitable for petroleum-based oils and aviation fuels, with higher tensile strength and oil-sealing performance.
Q5: How is the sheet packed and shipped?
Sheets are packed in wooden pallets of approximately 1000 kg net each, or 2000 kg net per pallet on request. Express, air freight and sea freight are available with full export documentation.
Q6: Can I get a free sample before placing a bulk order?
Yes. We offer free samples of standard non-asbestos jointing sheet grades so you can verify surface finish, thickness and cutting behaviour before placing a volume order.
