Product Detail

Nitrile Rubber Sheet (NBR / Buna-N) — Oil-Resistant Sheet Stock for Gasket Cutting, Lining and Shock Absorption | Model KXT B400NBR

Kaxite's nitrile rubber sheet is a compression-molded NBR elastomer sheet supplied in 1.0–150 mm thickness, 1–2 m width and 10–30 m roll length. It is engineered for oil resistance, moderate chemical exposure and mechanical durability — which is why procurement teams use it for in-house gasket die-cutting, machine shop flooring, shock-absorbing pads and industrial sealing applications. This is a raw material sheet, not a finished gasket, so you can cut it to your own dimensions on site.

What Is a Nitrile Rubber Sheet?

A nitrile rubber sheet (also called an NBR sheet, Buna-N sheet or acrylonitrile butadiene rubber sheet) is a flat elastomer sheet produced from a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile. Unlike a finished gasket, the sheet is supplied as raw stock that you can cut, punch or stamp into gaskets, washers, pads and liners on site — which reduces tooling cost and shortens lead time for maintenance and MRO teams.

Our NBR sheet combines excellent elastic properties with strong resistance to oil, caustics and aliphatic hydrocarbons, and can withstand continuous service temperatures up to 120°C. It is not recommended for contact with solvents or chlorinated hydrocarbons. Typical hardness is 50–60 Shore A, with 45–85 Shore A available on request.

Performance Characteristics

Oil & Fuel Resistance Resists petroleum-based oils, greases, hydraulic fluids and aliphatic hydrocarbons.
High Elasticity Average elongation of 300% and tensile strength up to 15 MPa for tough industrial environments.
Abrasion & Tear Resistance Suitable for sand blasting rooms, shock-absorbing pads and rough-duty flooring.
Easy Fabrication Can be cut into strips or pieces, punched, or stamped into gaskets with standard tooling.

Where Nitrile Rubber Sheet Is Used

The combination of oil resistance, elasticity and mechanical toughness makes NBR sheet a practical material across a wide range of industrial and maintenance environments:

Machine & Auto Repair Shops Floor and table top covering where oil and grease spillage is constant.
Sand Blasting Rooms Abrasion-resistant lining for walls, floors and equipment protection.
Shock-Absorbing Pads Vibration damping and impact absorption in machinery mounting.
Gasket Die-Cutting Cut-to-size flanges, washers and seals where finished gasket sourcing is not practical.
Chemical & Alkaline Environments Moderate heavy alkaline and chemical resistive situations where oil is present.
General Industrial Lining Durable sheet lining for workbenches, chutes and equipment surfaces.

Reinforced and Custom Options

Beyond the standard NBR sheet, we supply reinforced nitrile rubber sheet with cloth or wire insert for higher tear strength, and we can produce white nitrile rubber sheet for applications where color or FDA-grade compounds are required. Sheet can be cut to width, die-cut to shape, laminated or backed with adhesive on request.

  • Reinforced with cloth or wire insert for higher mechanical strength
  • White FDA-grade NBR compound for food and pharmaceutical contact
  • Adhesive backing, fabric backing or plain finish
  • Slitting to custom widths and cutting to custom lengths
  • Die-cut gaskets, washers and pads from the same material batch

Frequently Asked Questions About Nitrile Rubber Sheet

Quick answers to the questions buyers ask most often about our NBR rubber sheet (Model KXT B400NBR).

Q1: What is a nitrile rubber sheet used for?
A nitrile rubber sheet is used as raw stock for die-cutting gaskets, washers and pads, for lining machine shop floors and tables, for shock-absorbing pads, and for sand blasting room lining. It is chosen where oil resistance, elasticity and mechanical durability are required.
Q2: What thickness and width is available?
Thickness ranges from 1.0 mm to 150 mm. Regular widths are 1 m, 1.2 m, 1.4 m, 1.5 m, 1.8 m and 2 m, with a maximum of 4 m. Standard roll length is 10–30 m, and any length can be customized.
Q3: What temperature and hardness does NBR sheet support?
Our NBR rubber sheet operates from -50°C to +120°C. Standard hardness is 50–60 Shore A, with 45–85 Shore A available on request.
Q4: Is NBR sheet resistant to oils and chemicals?
Yes. The sheet resists oil, caustics and aliphatic hydrocarbons. It is not recommended for contact with solvents or chlorinated hydrocarbons, which will cause swelling and degradation.
Q5: Can I get reinforced or white nitrile rubber sheet?
Yes. We supply reinforced nitrile rubber sheet with cloth or wire insert for higher tear strength, and white nitrile rubber sheet for applications where color or FDA-grade compounds are required.
Q6: What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimum order quantity is 500 kg per specification. For mixed specifications or trial orders, contact our sales team to discuss.
Q7: Can I get a free sample before placing a bulk order?
Yes. We offer free samples of standard NBR sheet so you can verify hardness, oil resistance and cutting behavior. Send your required thickness and quantity through the inquiry form and our sales team will arrange shipment.
Q8: How do I request a wholesale price?
Submit your specification — thickness, width, length, color, quantity and destination port — through the inquiry form or email kaxite@seal-china.com. Our export team replies within 24 hours with FOB pricing, MOQ, lead time and shipping options.
