What Is a Nitrile Rubber Gasket?
A nitrile rubber gasket (also called an NBR gasket or Buna-N gasket) is a sealing component produced from a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile. That molecular structure is what gives the material its signature performance: outstanding resistance to petroleum-based oils, greases and fuels, combined with excellent abrasion resistance and reliable air tightness.
Our oil resistant rubber gasket is manufactured either by precision compression molding or by die-cutting from high-grade NBR sheet, available in thicknesses from 1/32" to 2" (0.8 mm – 50.8 mm) and in Shore A hardness from 40 to 90.
